You wanna know how to get one?

I love my new blog page, don't you?! I love to spend hours searching every ones blogs and have been following www.mysweetlittlefamily.blogspot.com a few weeks now. Jennisa recently posted about wanting to start designing new pages for any one who was interested! I had looked into it a while back and found it to be quite expensive. Well Jennisa was only charging $15.00, she wants to fill up her pay pal account so she can purchase some new back to school clothes for her sweet daughter, Avery. You must check her page, The Princess Diaries, she is adorable as well as her little sister, Livvie. So I finally left a comment and she return it very quickly! It was a super fast and fun process. I encourage any of you who want to do this give her a e-mail. She is enjoying it and as you can see quite talented. You can't beat the price either!!
Thanks so much Jennisa, I feel so fancy now!!

Don't they look sweet!

Oh my what a day! Underneath these beautiful smiles and high spirited little bodies there are some scary little children. I know that sounds harsh but it was one of those days. Hitting, pushing, crying, and few ugly words were all accomplished today. If I hear my self say no or I'm getting the spoon anymore today I may lose it. I realized today that I am saying those words to much and not always following through with it. This afternoon the kids got a quick dose of reality. I am hoping they will realize mommy means business now. I don't want disrespectful children who are no fun to be around. I want joyous respectful children that everyone enjoys! Don't we all.... This evening at dinner we had a special time of prayer about attitudes and actions that make Jesus happy! I hope for a better tomorrow!

I got a Makeover!

Yes the other day I guess I was in the need of a new look. I was given a free session by...........my kids who else! Did you really think I would get so lucky! Well I had quite the treatment. My nails, hair, makeup, some nose work?!, even my back was massaged! Bet your all envious now! Whatcha think about the new me?

This is funny...

I ran across this in a recent issue of parenting magazine.
Gadgets a mom could love
Brawler I.D...........
Determines which child actually started the fight

Poke detector..........
Automatically signals when your child starts prodding each other in the back seat of the car

"Mine" sweeper.........
Scans the playroom and hides any toys your child and his friend are likely to fight over

Meddle detector..........
Sounds an alert as your family members, next door neighbor, sister-in-law, ect. pull into the driveway.

I could use all these right now!!

Aggravations

* ANTS........arghhh. We have these little black ants all over our kitchen. They started on the floor underneath the table, now they are crawling on the cabinets to the kitchen sink. It's gross and I'm tried of it. They don't kill very easy either. You can smash them and then they start crawling again. Vacuuming is the best I find. I've tried the borax- yeast thing, not working. This evening I got some ant bait things. I hope they are gone in the morning! Any ideas?

*Head Lice....argggghhhh. Lacee is in VBS this week and there was a note this afternoon when I picked her up. Yes, in one of the classrooms head lice was discovered. My sister use to get it a lot growing up so I know the routine but we have yet to have to do that with Lacee. I can see it coming sooner than later with her starting preschool soon. Please pray we don't get it with this VBS outbreak.

*Yearly Doctors Appointments....arghghghhhh. Tomorrow morning is my lucky day! I can hardly wait. Although I've already been twice this month with these crazy issue I've been having. Hopefully everything will check out at fine and tomorrow and I can put this all behind me. I might need to celebrate!!

*Boys & Shopping....I had a couple free hours this morning and really wanted to run into the mall to get a gift for a shower I have to attend this weekend. Luke was not going to allow that to happen. I think I'm better off just staying home with him for a while. I really don't like taking him out in public anymore!

*Trying to decide what it eat for dinner that is going to make everyone happy. Not to fattening ( so tired of chicken), pasta (carbs love um but they say we need them in moderation), takes to long, kids only want DINO nuggets. Josh will eat anything though. Even the DINO nuggets. I need some new fresh ideas.

Alright, done venting...............thanks for reading :)

However, grocery shopping this afternoon with Lacee was great! She sang her little heart out all over Fred Meyer. A new song she learned at vacation bible school. Maybe a non-believer heard her words of praise to the Lord. :) Ahhh life as a 4 year old. May I always encourage her to love the little moments!!

Baylee Mae

Four beautiful girls....
We have a new little one in our family. My sister-in-law had Miss Baylee Mae in the wee hours of Monday morning. She is adorable and looks just like her mommy (to me at least). Everyone is doing fine and adjusting to having number 4 at home. Praise God for a healthy beautiful little one!

Lazy Days of Summer!

Beautiful Oregon Coast Sunset............
Fun with Friends

Hots Dogs & Smores.......doesn't get much better!
We had these silly races to see you could get the furthest without toppling over. Josh usually always won, I never did! :)
Hope you all enjoyed a fun weekend! We sure did!

Wedding Shower

This evening I attended a good friends wedding shower. Many years ago we attended the same church and a bunch of our friends from there were at the shower. Talk about a fun reunion! It was great catching up were everyone is and how many children they have. Do ya'll think it is weird talking with people you know you probably won't see again for a long time. I feel weird telling someone all about my life and know I won't see them again any time soon. But at the same time I love it to. I wish we could carry our friends with us throughout all the different journeys we take. That would be fun! Wedding showers are kinda depressing when you watch the new bride unwrap all her new towels, cups, plates. Things that after 10 years of marriage I could definitely replace. We should have anniversary showers. Hey that's a good idea!

My dear friend Karen is so precious and has the biggest heart for God. She has always been there for me even after going months without talking. One of those friends you can call and pick up right were you left off even if its been 3 months. She is that friend that you always wanted to find the perfect man to share her life with. She is that friend who has always wanted and will have at least 4 or 5 kiddos! I am so glad she has been blessed with her future husband! I pray they many moments of bliss and truly enjoy one another. Its gonna be a great wedding! (Oh and the bridesmaids dress fit! I was very nervous!!!) :)

There are no exceptions!

Break this bondage Lord, that seems to keep me from sensing or believing Your forgiveness. Help me to rejoice that the only thing whiter then snow is a repentant sinner!

Blessed am I because You, Lord, will never count my sins against me! (Romans 4:7-8 )
I told you all I was feeling down in the dumps these last few weeks. This morning I think I had an intervention. After reading a short little prayer in my Beth Moore book (my dear friend sent for my b-day a while back) I felt as if God was speaking to me. This prayer was what I'd been feeling but no sure how to put into words. I mention last time how I feel the wife sets the tone and I have been desiring nothing more than setting a comforting, happy, secure home life. But my actions and words have been so opposite of that and the conviction I've been feeling is overwhelming. I'll find myself getting angry at the kids and at the same time feeling the Holy Spirit right beside me. Like hey don't say it or do it I'm here watching you. YIKES!! I know amidst a lot of crazy life issues and being a mom I can get stressed way to easily. I just want to say girls, I'm so happy the Lord loves me and wants nothing more than for me to have my faith and righteousness for him. He forgives me when I've fallen and accepts me as I am. He isn't counting my sins! I praise you Lord!!!

Being a Wife...

Yesterday morning after my run with my persistent neighbor I came home and everyone was still sleeping. :)! I made myself a bowl of the yummiest vanilla oatmeal and read a few chapters in Ephesians. It was a delightful morning. I sat outside on the porch and it was still quite warm from the heat blast we are having. I've been a little down in the dumps these last few days. Not sure why really. PMS, fun woman issues I've been dealing with, children (especially the one under 2), my husbands piles of paper work I have to go through. The list goes on. I feel like I should have no reason to be ugly and have an attitude because really I have everything I need and my life is relatively stress free but I tend to make it as stressful as I can. So in my reading I felt very convicted. I know that a husbands responsibility's are to be the head of the house but I feel like a wife is the one who sets the tone for the family. When I'm grumpy it's not fair to everyone else. If Josh is grumpy I get so upset but I don't except the same when I am. Totally not fair. In the end I feel God has given us (wives) a HUGE influence that is equally important to our husbands in the way our family functions. I am really going to work on my attitude and words . I know they need adjusting. I desire nothing more than to be a Goldy wife and mother that God intends me to be!!

Yikes, NO WATER

Well earlier today one of the guys working at our shop cut the water line and had to shut it off for a while. He had to make a trip to Home Depot to get a part to fix it. While he was gone I was cleaning my car out (so dirty from camping) and Luke was on the side of the house playing in the recycling. I thought?! He came walking in the garage with his hands out saying look Mommy! OIL! OIL! Josh left a 5 gallon bucket of motor oil out and Luke had fun dipping his hands in it. Remember we have no water? My neighbor was gone..............So we used a whole packet of wipes to clean those hands. He smells like a mechanic now! Can you imagine who difficult it must be for those with no running water all the time?!

Happy Birthday America!

Luke, Brandon(nephew), Lacee & Allexa(Niece)

Poor moms, I think we are always taking the pictures. Lacee took this one for me. My eyes look kinda freaky?!

Can you believe 4th of July is come and gone?! I love that holiday! I cry every year as I watch the finale of the firework display, thinking how blessed we are to live in the good ole USA. I love soldiers, I love freedom, I love the pledge of Allegiance.

We went to the General Days in a town called Canby. Watched the parade and ate yummy noodles and had strawberry ice cream. It was HOT! Luckily I ran into one of the moms from Lacee's dance class and she let us sit under her shade tent. All the shade spots were taken early! After naps we headed to the river to watch the big fireworks. We didn't even need sweatshirts and we got a terrific spot! The kids had a blast with their own fireworks and we enjoyed seeing their smiles! Happy Birthday America!

Wickiup 2007!

We make a camp theme cake every year, we're kinda silly. :)

Luke and Bumpa....isn't that precious!
Time out tree! Luke got the know that tree and a few others very well!

This girl will inter- tube for hours!

Her first 15 inch cokeynee! Such a proud moment for her pa-pa!!
Every year since I starting dating Josh our families have gone on this camping trip. About 15 years now for me. It started out just family then for a few years a ton of our church friends starting going. That became a little overwhelming and took the whole family fun out of it. So about 5 years ago it became a family thing again. We do nothing but play in the water and eat! Can't get much better than that!

I'm Still Alive!

Just wanted to check in and say HI! We have been camping and enjoying the HOT HOT sun. I think I am starting to get old. I told Josh today I like the weather best when it is high70's low 80's. This high 90 stuff is killing me. And I grew up in Texas, how did I ever survive?! I've been snapping pictures like crazy to post and have been dying to get to a computer! Hopefully this evening or tomorrow as I start the loads of laundry I can sneak away for a while. Hope you all are enjoying a wonderful 4th of July! I am so proud to be an American!! God Bless you all!!!!
